Our Group

The Padma Shree Group was founded by Late Mr. Badri P. Thapaliya. A man with a vision who saw the rich natural resources of Nepal could be harnessed and utilized for great economic development. Taking an early retirement from government service, he laid the foundation stone of the group . Shree Padma Saw Mill & Furniture Factory Pvt. Ltd. in 1963. Keeping in view the shortage of forest product & as a firm believer of environment preservation, we established Altech Private Limited in 1989 (2045 B.S). The company was the pioneer in Nepal, manufacturing and fabricating aluminium doors, windows, curtain walls etc..

In 1990 (2046 B.S.), with the view of expanding and diversification Padma Shree Private Limited was established.  This company was started mainly for export, import and for representing various trading business in Nepal.  During this process, in 1993, Padma Shree Private Limited was authorized Distributor for Mazda vehicles for the Nepal by Mazda Motor Corporation, Hiroshima, Japan.  

During this process, in 1993 AD, Padma Shree Private Limited was authorized Sole Distributor for Mazda vehicles for the kingdom of Nepal by Mazda Motor Corporation, Hiroshima, Japan. Mazda was in Nepal from 1975 (2031 B.S.) but the business was not very successful.  After Padma Shree took over the distributionship for Mazda vehicles, Mazda has been popular name for a quality brand in Nepal.

From 2008, Padma Shree Pvt. Ltd. represents Foton Light Duty Truck, a product from China's the most reliable company Foton International Trade Co. Ltd., Beijing, China.

Similarly, BOSCH Power Tools from Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany was almost silence position in Nepalese market.  But when Padma Shree was appointed as a Sales Agent for BOSCH Power Tools, its accessories and spare parts in 2001 (2058 B.S.), made radical change and established BOSCH Power Tools as a successful brand name in Nepal basically for construction and development work.  

In order to expand our trading network further, we established a new company called The Global Trading Concern in 1990 2047 B.S.), which represents various multinational companies. 

In 2005 (2062 B.S.), Shubha Padma Shree Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. was established to deal with import, Agency Business, International Representation.  From 2008, Shubha Padma Shree Enterprises is authorized Dealer Shandong Foton Lovol Heavy Industry International Trade Co. Ltd., Shandong, China for Electric Cycles (E-cycle) in Nepal.
